Interesting facts about me

I'm a father of 4 and have 4 grandchildren. I retired from the Fire Service after 23 1/2 years. I enjoy going to flea markets, yard sales, auctions, and thrift stores. I collect board games, Kenner SSP's, the Super Stocker is one of my favorites, and just about any die cast type cars. I also like to race slot cars but I have thinned down my collection recently. I enjoy reading during the winter, my favorite author is Stephen King. My favorite book of his is The Stand. I also love his Dark Tower series featuring Roland the Gunslinger. I was sad when he ended the series. My favorite short storey The Long Walk.

I have loved red lines all of my life! I'm working on my 3rd collection of redlines now. Family comes first and I've had to sell my reds when times got rough to make ends meet. I did manage to hold on to a few from my childhood, because I just couldn't part with them. The car I regretted selling the most was a Pink 36 Ford Coupe, maybe some day I'll get another one. I like the Cords, Olds 442s, Chargers and Sugar Caddys. Mustangs and Cougars are a close 2nd. I have about 400 loose cars not all relines though. I have a few heavyweights and Real Riders and lots of bw cars. I also have a few Johnny Lightning, Husky, Corgi Jr, Marx, Dinky, and Matchbox in my collection. I have about 200 newer Hot Wheels I try to collect the sets. Now that I have retired I can devote more time to racing and collecting these fantastic little cars! I guess I'm still a kid at heart!

I have some of my cars in my yuku albums. I must warn you some of them are are far from mint! So if you have a weak stomach, look away! I have had some of them since I was a young boy and they are worth more to me than some of my "minty" cars. I'll try to change them around every now and then and post some of my newer buys. I'm proud to be a new member of RLOL and hope to learn more about these cars I love so much and maybe make some new friends in the process.
